Mood and Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety and depression can make even small tasks feel impossible. Maybe you're constantly on edge, overthinking every decision, or feeling like you can't catch your breath. Maybe you're going through the motions but feeling numb, exhausted, and disconnected from the things that used to matter.
You don't have to keep pushing through on your own. In therapy, we'll work together to understand what's driving these feelings, develop practical strategies that actually help, and create space for you to feel more grounded and like yourself again. Relief is possible, and you deserve support to get there.
Pregnancy and Postpartum
Becoming a parent can feel nothing like you expected. Maybe you're battling intrusive thoughts that terrify you, crying more than you thought possible, or feeling rage that seems to come out of nowhere. Maybe you're struggling to bond with your baby, grieving the life you had before, or wondering if you made a mistake—even though you know you love your child.
You might look around at other parents who seem to have it together and wonder what's wrong with you. But here's the truth: struggling doesn't mean you're failing. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are real, common, and treatable. Together, we'll work through the guilt, the overwhelm, and the feelings you're afraid to say out loud. You deserve to feel like yourself again and to actually enjoy this chapter of your life.
Stress and Coping
Life doesn't pause when you're overwhelmed. Work deadlines pile up, relationships need attention, your kids need you, and somehow you're supposed to take care of yourself too. When everything feels urgent and you're running on fumes, it's hard to see a way out.
Maybe you're snapping at the people you love, avoiding difficult conversations, or feeling like no matter how much you do, it's never enough. Therapy can help you figure out what's actually draining you, set boundaries that stick, and develop coping strategies that work for your real life—not some idealized version of it. You don't have to keep pushing until you break. Let's work together to help you feel steadier and more in control.
Understanding the Process
Starting therapy for the first time can feel like a big step—and it’s completely normal to feel nervous, uncertain, or even a little overwhelmed. Grow Well Counseling strives to make therapy a safe, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. You don’t need to have everything figured out, we just ask that you show up as you are.
How it Works:
- Consultation Call: Request a free 15 minute consultation. This will be provided over the phone and is used to make sure Grow Well Counseling is the right fit for you.
- Intake Session: Intake Sessions tend to be slightly longer in time and are used to get more information about you. Think of it as a starting point, where your therapist learns about you, your life, and what’s bringing you to therapy. This helps to create a personalized treatment plan and ensures we stay aligned with your goals throughout the process.
- Follow-up Session: After your intake session, you’ll begin regular follow-up sessions (50 minutes)—these are the ongoing appointments where the real work of therapy takes place. In follow-up sessions, you and your therapist will explore the concerns you’ve identified, check in on your progress, and continue building tools and insights that support your mental and emotional well-being.
